Hackett’s Cove, Nova Scotia — Nautel Limited demonstrated the company’s full suite of digital radio transmission technologies at NAB 2011.
In 2009, Nautel became the first vendor to move all of its digital components off unreliable PC platforms and onto dedicated solid state designs with RAM based storage. Products introduced since then include the Importer Plus, Exporter Plus, AM IBOC, HD PowerBoost and Nautel’s exclusive Asymmetrical Sideband method of protecting adjacent channel broadcasters while optimizing the HD Radio™ signal. Another technology from Nautel is HD Reliable Transport, which helps ensure reliable studio-to-transmitter HD Radio communications and reduces the bandwidth requirements for STLs.
Nautel has also partnered with the DRM Consortium to bring the industry’s first DRM+ transmitters to market. Nautel transmitters have been featured at numerous DRM+ trials including the largest one now occurring in Edinburgh, Scotland.
